Privacy Policy

We ask for your body measurements and your home address. That is unusually personal information for a clothing shop to hold, so here is exactly what happens to it.

Who we are

Fitted SA operates fittedonline.co.za. If you want to reach us about anything on this page, write to INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS and mark it for the attention of the Information Officer.

What we collect

Your contact details. Name, email address, phone number, and the delivery address you give us at checkout.

Your measurements. Chest, waist, hip, sleeve, shoulder and height, if you choose Fitted or Reworked. You never have to give these — ordering As-Is doesn't ask for them.

Your orders. What you bought, what it cost, when it shipped, and any alteration notes the tailor recorded.

Payment information. We do not see or store your card details. Payment is handled by our payment provider, and all we receive back is confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.

Basic site data. Standard server logs, and whatever your browser sends when you load a page.

Why we hold it

Your measurements exist for one reason: so a tailor can alter a garment to fit you. They go to the tailor working on your piece and to nobody else. We keep them on file so you don't have to measure yourself again next time — and you can ask us to wipe them at any point without affecting your order history.

Your address and contact details are used to deliver your order, to confirm or refund a reservation, and to answer you when you write to us. Your order history is kept because we are required to keep records of sales.

Marketing

If you sign up for drops, we email you when new pieces land. That's a separate choice from buying something — placing an order does not add you to the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.

Who else sees it

The tailor altering your piece sees your measurements and your first name. The courier sees your name, address and phone number. The payment provider sees what it needs to take the payment. Our email and hosting providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it to anyone for advertising. We would only disclose it beyond the above if the law required us to.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for as long as South African tax and company law requires. Measurements are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until an account has been dormant for three years, whichever comes first. Mailing list details are deleted when you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to us using it for marketing. Write to the address above and we will come back to you. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies

We use the minimum needed to keep your bag and your session working. If we add analytics or anything that tracks you across other sites, this page will say so before it goes live.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will date the change at the top of this page and tell the mailing list.
